4 Ingredient Moisturizer

I stumbled upon a moisturizer recipe one day while scrolling through Pinterest and shifted the ingredients to make it simpler. Typically, with DIY products, I try it once, get over the novelty, then move on to a store-bought version. This time around, I found myself remaking this recipe. Not to mention, it costs almost nothing!

My favorite time to use it is as a full body moisturizer after showers (especially post-shaving).

Here it is:

Combine all the ingredients in a bowl suspended over a saucepan with 1 inch of boiling water in the saucepan (double boiler). You can also put the ingredients in a jar or glass measuring cup and set it inside a saucepan that has some water at the bottom (make sure there’s enough water that it comes to halfway up the jar).

Begin to heat the pan until your saucepan water is boiling. The oils and beeswax will slowly start to melt. Every once in a while, stir the ingredients with a wooden spoon or stirrer.

Once everything is fully melted, pour the ingredients into a small jar for storage.

This recipe makes about ¾ cup or 6 fluid ounces of melted liquid and it will take a couple hours to set completely. Let it set up at room temperature.

The consistency of this moisturizer is gel-like and very hydrating!

Enjoy!
