Bloating & Mono Eating
Do you experience bloating?
Most of us have and we become increasingly frustrated on how to heal it. We hear about fermented foods, kefir, enzymes, probiotic pills. None of which make much of a difference. We even hear about drinking apple cider vinegar, taking diatomaceous earth or hydrochloric acid supplements. These are all myths. They don’t heal. In fact they leave us in a worse state.
What you need to know about bloating is that it stems from an overburdened, toxic liver. Our high fat diets lead not only to an overworked liver but also to lower bile production which results in digestive troubles (gas, bloating, etc.).
The key is to lower fats. A high fat diet (whether these fats be from animal protein or just avocados) leads to your bile reserves maxing out and low bile leads to your body’s inability to break down foods. Consider cooking meals that are plant based and lower in fats to give your body a break.
To take healing one step further, consider Mono Eating. It’s a great way to give your digestive system a break. This is when you eat snacks or full meals of containing 1 food until you’re full. Good examples of mono eating foods are: Steamed Potatoes, Bananas, Papaya, or Steamed Squash.
In @medicalmedium book Liver Rescue he shares that “Mono eating is not for everyone. It’s for people who have had certain toxins created by certain viruses within the liver or who’ve gone through other digestive hardships that have given them unique intestinal and nervous system sensitivities. The nerves attached to the intestinal walls can become hypersensitive and contribute to symptoms such as anxiety, bloating, and cramping in addition to extreme discomfort when food passes through the digestive tract. For this group, mono eating can be tremendously helpful.”
One small step at a time! Try to stick with a lower fat plant based diet to allow your liver to clear out backed-up toxins in your liver and lymph. Your body will thank you and you’ll feel the difference. With perseverance, healing is possible.
